Anthony Spencer Field Goal Block: Cowboys Linebacker Leaps Over Seahawks To Block FG (VIDEO)

The Dallas Cowboys were able to hold off the Seattle Seahawks at home on Sunday, thanks in large part to a fantastic defensive play by star linebacker Anthony Spencer. Trailing 13-6 late in the third quarter, the Seahawks lined up to try a 41-yard field goal. At that distance, Steve Hauschka was well within his range. But Spencer made sure that the strength of the Seattle kicker's leg made no difference. Timing the snap perfectly, Spencer hurdled over a Seahawks lineman, landed on his feet and swatted the ball away for the field goal block.

The Cowboys were able to capitalize on the turnover early in the fourth quarter with Tony Romo's second touchdown pass of the day and they went on to win 23-13.

Dallas owner Jerry Jones praised the play after the game, saying "it was a big play in my mind for the game, because you saw at the end they could have been driving for a [game-tying] touchdown."

Along with the blocked field goal, Spencer finished the game with five tackles and his fourth sack of the season.
