If you were thinking of picking up a cellular-enabled tablet, you might consider dropping by an AT&T store (online or in person). They're offering $100 off any tablet, iPads included???as long as you sign up for a 2-year contract. Is it a good deal, or should you keep looking?
Taking $100 of the top is an attractive bargain ? you can get a brand-new 16GB, 4G LTE?iPad for $480, which is a nice selling point on its own. And if you were planning on signing up for a monthly plan anyway, perhaps along with another device like a new phone, it could be a welcome deal.
But don't forget that by signing up for a 2-year contract, you're essentially agreeing to spend quite a lot of money ? at a minimum, more than the $100 you save. Even if you're already on AT&T and you just add the iPad as a $10 extra device on your current plan, you're still laying out a decent chunk of change over two years.
And don't forget that you can buy the iPad straight from Apple and sign up for cellular service right from the device, in a more flexible month-by-month fashion to boot.
So if you're already on AT&T and were thinking of picking up a tablet, this could be a welcome bit of cash back. But don't go rushing in thinking you can get a bargain on the device and then cancel your plan before you spend more than you saved. ?The promotion goes while supplies last, so if it sounds like a good deal, make haste.
