Tom Cruise's All You Need Is Kill Gets a Title Change

Warner Bros. has changed the name of the Tom Cruise sci-fi thriller ?All You Need Is Kill? to ?Edge of Tomorrow.? Studio also revealed plans to promote the film at Comic-Con this week.

Doug Liman directed the film that co-stars Emily Blunt. WB will still release the film, a co-production with Village Roadshow, on June 6, 2014. Studio will showcase the first footage from the film during WB?s Comic-Con panel on July 20.

Film is set in the near future when an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Cruise plays an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, he finds himself thrown into a time loop where fights and dies in the same battle, but with each occurance, becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill.

Film?s cast also includes Bill Paxton, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong and Franz Drameh. Dante W. Harper, Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and Christopher McQuarrie wrote the screenplay based on the novel, ?All You Need Is Kill? by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
