LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese picked up his first ever Emmy on Sunday, but don't expect him to join the E.G.O.T. club.
"No, I'll never get that," he told Access Hollywood backstage on Sunday, referring to the award quartet of an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony (the only one he's missing to complete the set is a Tony).

Although he's won a host of accolades over the years, winning Sunday night's Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series award for his work on "Boardwalk Empire" still managed to move the director.
"It's really very exciting because it's another medium," Martin said, referring to television. "But the thing about working with the HBO group, I found that there was a great deal of artistic freedom and it got me to move faster. I haven't shot so quickly [in years]."

Martin already knows where he'll put his latest honor, and expects it to land in one of his daughter's movies almost immediately.
"This goes in my living room, [on] my second floor," he said. "My daughter, she's gonna be 12 now, and her and her friends like to make these movies, these little movies, so this will probably be in the background."
Speaking of movies, Martin's first family film - "Hugo" -- is on its way this Thanksgiving and he's looking forward to sharing it with audiences.

"I'm supposed to be in the mixing room -- right now -- working on this film that is for the entire family," he said. "Really, it's OK... I'm not kidding. We show it to kids and they love it."
