Rome man charged with theft of bras at Walmart

A Rome man remained in the Floyd County Jail Tuesday morning after he allegedly took four bras from the Walmart in East Rome, reports stated.

According to reports from the Floyd County Jail:

Alex Tyrone Smith, 24, of 2006 Flannery St., was arrested a on misdemeanor theft by shoplifting charges after the incident at Walmart on Monday at 6:05 p.m.

Police reports indicated that Smith stuffed the four bras - worth a total of $40.54 - into his purse.

Smith was being held on a $1,350 property bond.
